Alaskan Unguided Barren Ground Caribou HuntsWe're glad you're interested in an Alaskan Hunt. Sunlight Aviation
provides Transporter services for the hunter who knows what he wants. We provide economical air taxi rates to get the
most ‘bang for your buck.’ The area we fly includes over 200,000 square miles of Alaska's wilderness from the Lake
Clark drainage west to the Togiak Hills and north to Kotzebue. For 2006, the Mulchatna herd is of average size and the
department of Game and Fish has initiated restrictions to increase the herd size. The Western arctic herd in unit 23
near Kotzebue is nearly a half million animals and there are very few restrictions. We can drop off hunting parties
anywhere in Alaska for the best hunting experience. Caribou often travel in herds on these tundra covered hills and
both archery and rifle hunters can have a very successful hunt. The caribou hunt is highly recommended for the first
time Alaska big game hunter as you will experience the rugged Alaskan wilderness and have a very good chance of
bringing home a great trophy.

MULCHATNA CARIBOU HUNT One Camp Drop Off Hunt This fly-in hunt is on the west side of the Alaska Mountains in
the Lake Clark & Mulchatna River Area. The
Caribou herds we normally hunt have been growing at a
rapid rate, and have been a consistent producer of trophy
animals. Our fall season is from August 10 - September 30.
We recommend 5 to 7 days for this hunt.
Price Per Person: $1,500. with a 2 person minimum.

PLANNING YOUR HUNT - HUNT DURATION:
On these hunts we show a recommended length of 5 to 7
days, however you may shorten or lengthen your hunt when
you book your trip. We suggest you allow several extra days
on both ends of your hunt to allow for bad weather, and
preparing your trophies and game for transport home.

EQUIPMENT OUTFITTING: For transportation in the bush
plane all gear should be packed in small stuff sacks, duffel
bags, or dry gear bags. Food (including freeze dried) is available in Anchorage and may be purchased upon your
arrival. The maximum weight for your gear (including food, camping equipment, rifles, and personal gear) cannot exceed
125# per person. Freeze dried food and not duplicating items will help reduce weight. Everything is weighed prior to
departure for the hunting area. Extra weight can be carried, but it will require chartering extra flights at $250 per hour.
OTHER SERVICES: We can make recommendations for local accommodations, fishing charters, and other side trips.
